We would definitely stay there again...
We rented 3 cabins for a week. We all had a great time and the cabins were clean and complete. Would definitely recommend. Drawbacks or just things you should know. Not all cabins have 3 prong plugs. You may need adapters. Only one cabin has wi-fi...the big cabin. The docks are not suitable for low freeboard boats like bass boats. Tires should be added to prevent damage to boats. Cell phone reception is non-existent unless you get in your boat and head to the south end of the lake. The tap water is great! Management should have flyers in a box on the sign. We had people peeking in our windows and knocking on our doors looking for the office and wanting information.

Congratulations to Denise and Gil for recreating Sands Resort on the North end of Hubbard Lake. My family had been going for about 5 years when it closed and were so happy when it reopened. We rented 3 cottages the week of June 26th and are planning on two weeks in 2011. Diane, the manager, was available and friendly without being intrusive. Although I want everyone to know how fantastic the resort is, I want to keep it as a treasured secret much like Up North Michigan itself. We are looking forward to returning next year.
